No power to ignition switch.

Hi Guys,

Ok, so my 2006 F150 V6 Auto wouldn't start, (totally dead no dash lights, won't crank). I pulled the ignition switch and tested it. All fine. Tested the connector to the ignition switch on the steering column side (upstream); nothing. No current whatsoever.

I was in a hurry, had to get to work. So I ran a wire from the battery to the wire leading into the ignition switch and she started right up.

I did not test upstream further to see if it had power at the base of the steering column.

Is anyone familiar with the routing of this wire? If I'm not getting power to the steering column then I assume that I need to re-run it.

Check fuse F102 in the Central Junction Box (See owner's manual).
