Rough Idle

I have a 2005 F150 5.4 liter triton engine. The truck runs fine except when I have been running at or below 500 rpms the engine starts shaking and clacking and missing. It might go two weeks without doing it and then do it a couple days ina row. Check engine light does not come on. Spark plugs were changed less than a year ago and just changed the oil and filters. I need some help don't know where to start.

I agree with 88 check your throttle body. Your mass air flow sensor can be really dirty and is probably misreading. Have you changed coil packs yet?
