Haha, maybe a bigger shovel?? I can't see a PCM causing a miss...does it only happen on 4 or does it chase the COP's? Did you check the wiring to 4? I think you are on the right track and eliminating the right things...do you have an laser thermometer you can point at the manifolds while its running, see if #4 gets "hotter" maybe its getting starved for some reason?

Was hoping some of the more knowledgeable people would jump in here...

so far wiring checking out not shorted to power or to ground got a little more running around chasing wire's but had node lights in looks the same as any other cylinder. keep you guys posted the girlfriend is calling it the shop queen right now and I'm worried about my poor baby two valve. may do a manual compression check this after noon since I have a hard miss on cylinder 4. but thanks R1Jester I shall try that

well passed every electrical test I can think of even swapped out injectors just for the heck of it. however get this put everything back together today ran fine for about 30 minutes then again intermittent missing on cylinder four so the plan of attack for tomorrow pull valve cover on that side and she must have a lifter(sorry lash adjuster) roller or spring screwing up and in head which might explain why it only does when hot when the oil thins up I don't know hate to say this I'm down to guessnostics.

well well well findings for today are as follows put cover back on ran compression check perfect even had a look inside nice etching still on cylinder walls. k once again reassemble motor here is where it gets funny I was having problems on cylinder four before now its cylinder three so tried swapping coils around seeing if it would chase nope three still. hmm but didn't get a chance to PMI not sure if I can but I'm going to screw around a little but like I said I'm back leaning hard on PCM issue if she won't clear up tomorrow she's getting a PCM but unfortunately a dreaded no start 6.4 rolled into the shop for me haha

Well running wicked turns out and I couldn't believe this but the purge valve (EVAP) I know eh causing a miss fire moving on want performance idea's and here's my thought. S&B cold air(will never use K&N again just left a bad taste), I'll get the tuner done by Gryphon, Gibson headers, with I'm thinking super 44 might just do the muffler replacement leave old pipe. Plus I want to do green cab lights inside and green under glow lights and I think I'm want some new speakers, Thoughts, Ideas

so I had to come on here and check when I got my 2007 f-150 running good again cause yesterday it decided it need an FPDM no big deal happens on these trucks corrosion and what not. Started it up this morning to some weird rattle well checked codes with my edge P0420 comes up hmm nice. So take it in the shop pulled the 02 sensor out (and that sucked took my middle finger off a week or so ago) anyway cat blown apart lovely. I think this truck was built on a Monday after the big game or something the night before cause all within the last 20,000km I have done the transmission after an OD band pile up, then had the miss fire issue above and now this. And my 2002 2v with 300,000km on it I have heli-coiled number 8 and just other maintenance

THAT was a big mistake. Helicoils do NOT last, you should have used a Timesert or a Lock N Stitch.

Well it has lasted about 94,000 and a spark plug change which everyone usually doesn't look forward to
