Wiper Cowl restoring

I am going to try this soon.

I have used all the greasy treatments I am done with all that.
Not really very good at painting stuff so am thinking one of the
many dye type products.

Looking for some advice on what to use. Good results ease of use those types of things.

After trying about everything made to restore plastic, I finally pulled them out and painted with Krylon Fushion, so far its held up very well with no nicks or fading.

Mine aren't bad enough to paint for another year or two, but how long ago did you paint yours? And is the consensus to clear or not to clear?

SEM's Trim Black part number 39143 works perfectly, best of all it's in a spray can.

There is a writeup in the Articles and How To section. Krylon Fusion worked great for me and I did not clear coat.

Somewhere on here there's pics where someone cleared half and left the other half just painted. One year later the cleared side had faded much less than the other.

2 cans did all the trim and door handles on my FX4 with some left over. Cleaning wax and dirt from the area to paint is about all the prep work needed.

Showroom New is a dye that works very well, you apply it with a foam paint brush.
