Changing radiator. Need to remove fan?
#2
Ya you are going to have to remove the fan. Here is the procedure for removing the fan if you want it.
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the cooling fan and shroud.
3. Release the clamp and disconnect upper radiator hose.
4. Release the clamp and disconnect upper degas bottle hose.
5. Release the clamp and disconnect lower radiator hose.
6. Disconnect the transmission cooler tubes.
7. Remove the bolts, the radiator support brackets and the upper radiator insulators.
8. Remove the radiator.
9. Remove the lower radiator insulators.
10. To install, reverse the procedure.
If you have any questions on how to do any of these, write me and I will help you out.
Good luck

Actually, I think you can. There's no way to get the shroud out without removing the fan, before you pull the radiator. But if you move the shroud forward, I think there's enough room to pull the radiator up and out. I don't know that it will be any easier.
Let me save you some grief. Get the right transmission line cooler removal tool before you start. Most line tools I was able to find of the appropriate line size would not fit. I had to make my own tool. If you can find one that works with the radiator mounted cooler lines, get it before you start.

We didn't. Removing the fan would have been more difficult, and time consuming. There's absolutely no need for the extra space by removing the fan, it's a total waste of time for a rad change. Like I said, new rad is over 2x thicker and there was all kinds of extra room there.
