Burning rubber???
I have noticed for some time now if I drive my 04 Screw 4X4 above 60 MPH for about 5 minutes or more and get home and park in the garage I can smell burning rubber. If I drive faster the smell is stronger. I am not spinning tires, just driving on the highway. I don't smell it driving, just when I park it and get out. The truck is stock. The tires are one year old. Any ideas??? It does smell like tire smoke but there is no rubbing.

could also be the emergency brakes are hung up, and you are smelling the shoe's or even if it's been happening for a while the axle seal could be shot and now it's leaking with the e-brake shoe's hanging up it's causing the gear lube to burn. sounds like it's coming from the rear seeing that you do not smell it until after you get out from the truck
or like above something is rubbing somewhere, what mods do you have (lift/tires etc)

No noises, no rubbing (just driving straight on the highway and turning in the driveway) stock size tires and suspension so I know it is not rubbing.
Not the brakes, I know hot brake smell and the wheels are not hot.
I was thinking maybe a seal in the axles somewhere, but there is no oil leak at all.

you wont necessarily see a oil leak if an axle seal is failing...mine just had a small spot below the axle on the dust shield that looked like oil was there, but they were shot, Mine made a smell like that when the seals were gone, it was not 100% rubber smell though, a gearoil/rubber mix...no smell since I replaced them though

I have the same with my 08 King Ranch Screw. I have pinned it down to happening whenever the roads are wet, could it be the smell of the salt/water/road grime mixture cooking on the engine? My boss has a new infiniti and it has the same smell on those snow/slush melting days. Smells just like burning rubber.
