I just installed the Pace Edwards tailgate lock on my 2006 F150 Crewcab.

The instructions say connect to the PINK/BLACK and RED/ORANGE wires. That's wong!

The Summit tailgate instructions say PINK/BLACK and PINK/ORANGE that is the correct wiring!

With the tailgate lock wired that way... When you lock all doors... all the doors and the tailgate locks to unlock the tailgate you have to unlock all doors. (two unlock commands)

I just did the same thing several weekends ago for $3 and half hour of my time

 

Cost me $6 for a actuator on e bay and about $4 for hardware and wire at Lowes.

 

I just wired mine to the drivers side door; unlock all 4 with romote or unlock using drivers door and good to go.
