I think you would be better of getting the muffler and tips you want and then going to a shop or even just going to a shop and have then provide you with the stuff you need. My 14" si/do magnaflow with 4"x18" SS tips 45'd behind the rear tires was $550... Up north where we are this is about average. The magnaflow kits have 18" mufflers which sound nice but are too quiet for my taste. The 14" si/do (part #12198) is a great sounding muffler and has minimal drone on the highway. I do not want to tell you to get a magnaflow over other brands because that always ruffles people's feathers, but what I can tell you is magnaflow is a higher quality muffler than flowmaster. It will last longer and does not have baffle plates to break off. That being said some prefer the flowmaster sound which I have no issue with that all as I like it myself. If you want a deep fairly loud that will not blow your ears off but will sound nice under acceleration and has a low rumble at cruise, I strong suggest this muffler.

Okay that's good then. I was thinking of just getting a side exhaust kit since I could get it from hottexhaust and get the discount but if I can get just get that part and find a decent good shop to weld the pipes the way i want that would be great....did you supply all the extra pipes or did they? Never done this before....always done bolts on myself

I mean $500+ for the kit or $90 or less for this is a steal right plus the tips (not sure which yet)?

I just took mine to a shop told them what i wanted and they put it on for me. I got a si/do flowmaster 40 series, with tips straight out the back i think they are 3-3 1/2" tips not sure. Anyways, they ordered it all and installed it for me for $200. I am pretty pleased, I would like to get high flows, but after my drive to st louis this weekend im not sure if i could handle it much louder on the interstate.
