2004 F150 Front Wheel bearings????

Hey guys, I have searched on this forum for topics pertaining to this and get different answers

On my 04' F150, i am hearing a roaring noise that varies with speed and it sounds like I have huge off-road tires or something, they say this is a front wheel bearing problem?? My question is can I just replace the front bearings seperately or do I have to purchase the whole rotor with bearing or hub? Cost and brand suggestions are very welcome, thanks guys!!!

It sucks but it's only sold as an assembly now. There was a thread a few weeks back on this.

If you have a 4x2, the rotor and bearing is all together. If you have a 4x4, then they come separate. Assuming a 4x2, you are looking at about $150 at a parts store. I replaced mine about 50,000 miles ago with Raybestos, from a local parts store. The originals lasted about 41,000 on one side. I changed both while I was at it and kept the good one for a spare.

Yes. When you remove the rotor the bearing is attached and goes along with the rotor.

nope, rear rotors just slide off

When you replace the front rotors and hub make sure you also replace the nut, its not meant to be reused.
