leveling kit.. damaged springs

I noticed yesterday that ive got spring damage. It appears that the upper control arms are contacting my springs. I have the 2" leveling kit installed... any way to fix this? Would the 5100s be a better choice?

thanks

What exactly does "spring damage" constitute?

Could you provide a pic from a cell phone or camera?

Ill try and get a pic later. The plastic coating on the spring has chipped off. Basically my concern is with the upper control arm contacting the spring when the strut is fully extended.

Yep,

That's a known problem for the old design AS. I had the same problem with the old 2 inch AS until I changed to the offset design. This moves the coilover top toward the frame rail to give the UCA more clearance. This works most of the time, but I still find some contact from time to time. The replacement coilovers are smaller diameter in general to allow for more clearance with a fully extended suspension.

Its not gonna hurt anything, what are you doing to have your suspension at full extension?

Ill go over the odd bump here and there... nothing to extreme. Plus it was on a hoist the other day getting the tires rotated.

Are the Bilstein 5100s a better option for this?
