One question though, were you heating your stock tires before each run?

I would avoid the water box, and heating them up, and just roll right to staging. You lose traction with warm stock rubber.

actually i was doing pretty decent burnouts. i didnt know that about stock tires... but now that you mention it, i do remember hearing that somewhere...

yeah i found that out, and i did hook pretty good a few times doing that. i just think if i had sticky enough tires to where i could actually launch without spinning, i could really make some improvements on my ET.

and i was also pondering a methanol kit, especially since i dont have an intercooler, but yeah hearing that troyer said it was a bad idea, i kinda put that idea to rest., shame tho...

I came to the idea of getting 2 of my stock lariat wheels widened to 10" and get some drag radials, going this route will cost way less than 2 new wheels.

From what I have read its 100-125 per wheel, I have not found much in the way of 18X10 and them slicks are high priced.

from what ive seen, the biggest diameter drag radial most companies sell is like 26.6" that would fit on a 18x10 wheel. thats a 275/40/18

I think they stretch wheels that people really like, usually aftermarket or rare wheels. That's basically their niche. If I were you, I'd just get a good cheap set of wheels and the tires.
