Do weird noises drive you nuts???
After I installed my Flowmaster exhaust, there was a definite increase in resonance that could be felt in the cab, but more importantly the resonance created this very annoying noise from my dash especially at certain RPMs. It not only became annoying, but also embarrassing as everyone kept asking where the noise was coming from.
So over the weekend, I took the bottom portion of my dash apart to see if I could find whatever was vibrating and maybe fix it or stuff some noise absorbing material in the general areas, but could not find anything loose that would be vibrating. And as I drove around and tried to focus in on where the noise was coming from, it literally seemed to move around as I positioned my head in different spots (probably looked like an idiot to other drivers around me...lol). What the heck?
Finally decided to live with it when I noticed I still had an old plastic garage door opener on my visor, so I removed it and stuffed it in my console. Within seconds I noticed no more noise. Could it be that easy? I put it back, and so came the noise. What a dolt I've been taking apart my dash when it was something right in front of my face all along. :o

Funny this subject came up! I had the same snow/ice problem earlier this week and I would always forget to clear it out (due to my extra curricular after work bong toke activities) and I drove me nuts! Now I think I need to grease some nuts because all I hear is squeaking from the under carriage and that.. that is the worst sound ever. My truck is an '06 and with the squeaking it sounds like a '97..

For interior creaks and rattles, you need a buddy and a stethoscope with a long tip. I bought a decent/cheap one from Harbor Freight. Have your buddy driive and you can poke around until you locate it. I hate the EXTERNAL noises...buddy doesn't want to hang onto the underside of the truck while on the freeway...
