Installs just like your existing, remove the door panel and 3 11mm bolts, the wiring is the hardest part you just have to relocate on of the 16 pin ground connections, Labman maybe you can chime in with the details.
My total start to finish time was about 1 hours doing both doors.

yea my price was from the dealer.....i didnt know about tasca at the time!!!

pins are easy...you can find the wiring diagrams for an 05 and an 07 in my gallery....all 04-06 are the same and the 07-08 are the same....ford went to a one ground for all options in 07-08 to where 04-06 each option had a ground. so u have to move a ground to another pin, but that is all...everything will work, except the puddle lamp. unless u already have puddle lamps, then you will have to wire them into your cab and tie into the interior lights, but i found that wire under the driver sill.....let me know if i can be of anymore help.....later

What about getting the mirrors that are color coded or have the chrome 'skull caps'? Are the puddle lights right underneath the bottom side of the mirror that light up when you unlock the doors? Welfare wagon, how did you do the UK inside the Ford Emblem? I need to get myself an interlocking ND and do the same!

i believe that you can just add the skull cap from the original mirrors and they will fit, but dont quote me on that. as for painting them, any body shop should be able to it. and yes the puddle lamp is right under the mirror and it shines on the ground when u unlock, open the door, turn on int lights, etc....

So the aftermarket chrome covers that fit the regular mirrors may possibly fit these mirrors? When it was all said and done, how much time did you have invested? I have never done much auto wiring, but my brother and some guys at work are fairly proficient - is it something I should undertake on my own?

PS- I went to Tasca and found the mirror assembly with puddle lamps in the collision catalog, but how do I know that they are the tow mirrors and not the standard regular mirrors?
