3M makes an excellent adhesive remover that will not damage the paint, just dampen the decal, peel, and then wipe the residue off.

You might also have success with a hair dryer....slowly heat the sticker drying out the adhesive, the sicker will lift away.

A hair dryer and some goo gone works well. I removed the 4x4 stickers off my truck without them though

Thanks
I just let mine sit in the summer sun for few hours and it peeled right off or a blow dryer would work too. Remember to put a cpl coats of wax over the area and take some measurements and pics before removing it in case you dont like the look and want to put a sticker back on.

Some trucks look nice with it on, personal preference. I chose to take mine off, I think it looks alot cleaner without it.

I don't have factory pinstripes on my FX4, but I did remove the factory applied FX4 stickers from the bedside without using anything but a long steady "pull" on a damp July day this summer.

I just didn't like how the "FX" part blended into my already "Red" truck's sides. I got some "Patriotic" FX4 decals that also lacked the "almost but not qite" clear film. They looked better to me.

Nice looking, but the sharper corners would catch on my towels so I decided to add what is really "clear" static cling film.

I then to Ebay and ordered a 15 foot X 24" wide piece of clear static cling from this Ebayer, and I made 4 pieces that cover 90% of my brand new and newly painted Dark Shadow Grey frt bumper before it get's chipped, and I cut two pieces to cover the new "Patriotic" looking FX4 decals, this clear is "clear" and invisibl;e and has no stickum stuff and is easily removed and reapplied time after time.

Mine just sat in the Summer heat, and once I got a corner started the rest followed. Ripped half way through one of the sides, but it all came off quite easily
