Just did the brake fix on my 03 Lightning and WOW what a difference. That truck had the worse brakes ever...Night and Day. Will be adjusting the rod on my 06 SCREW tomorrow.

Now if you could get my an additional 50-75 horses for 06 for free it would be greatly appreciated.

Damn I had the whole post written, and then the server was too busy so it disapeared.
I went in for an oil change today and mentioned the soft brake pedal to the service manager. I told him about the actuator rod to set them on the right path. After an hour they came back, said they were done, and brought me on a test drive. The brake pedal was firmer, and the tech said he would show me how to do it when we got back to the dealer.
This is where things were different. His proceduer was loosely as follows.
Find the yellow "box" above the brake pedal, and unclip it
Move back the washer there
Now loosen/tighten there
Put back together, take for a ride and see if you like it
They didn't actually do anything inside the engine compartment, like I was led to believe they would have per the advice was given here.

So in a nutshell they shimmed your brake pedal??? Is that what they did?

No offense, but what more light needs to be shed on the rod adjustment? The “procedure”, however informal, is very straight forward. It has been explained (by those that have already done it) a few times in this thread. I have not done it to my F150 (the dealer did), but know full well how to, having done so on my Mustang.
You just remove the two nuts holding the MC on, then pull the MC forward enough so that you can turn the end of the rod which is revealed when the MC is pulled forward. Just a very small turn is all that is needed. There are a few more details elsewhere in this thread, but it’s really not a hard thing to do.
