Well I dont know and dont care, I have a quad that I haul in my FX4 how old does that make me look. And for the guy that I would be passed my a LARIAT while looking down at me fat chance that would happen got to catch up to me.

Since this is the original post, i will regard that.
fx4 like all ford trucks seem to me a personal preference, and not based soley on specs . some like this some like that , what ya need "yeah" but more like what ya like.
4x2 , 4x4 , Lariat and those crazy lookin King Ranches J/K lol
i have the lariat, and mine does have bout everything right down to the skidplates !! only thing i dont have are those "overated" shocks.
to make it simple most of us are buying these trucks with what we want and like on them.
me i prefer the chrome to the paint.
fx4 more paint less chrome , Overrated shocks .

honestly, they really are the same truck. a few options are differnt, big whoop. call lariat an old fart's truck, i think that is because of the appearance of the two-tone paint. get the same color all around, it looks badass. ive hauled 9k trailers of wood with mine, every hunting season it sees lots of mud every weekend, hauling a 600 pound camo grizzly quad in the bed, driven through rivers etc etc. its a truck, use it like one. friends have fx4s, doing the same stuff, is there a noticeable different? only in appearance. but as far as performing like a FORD TRUCK, no theres not.its all personal preference. i love both, i would take either one. now compare either one to a different truck like a dodge, toyota, chevy or nissan....then its all up for debate.
