Rust/Bed liner Issue

I did a search on this but couldn't find anything...

I have the factory Ford drop in liner on an 04 F150 and over time the part of the liner that covers the tailgate appears to have be rubbing against the bottom of the bed where there is no liner protection. This has caused about a 2 ft section of paint to be rubbed off and has become rusted.

I plan on going to the dealer, but unless part of this liner on the tailgate is removed, this problem will continue. Has anyone else noticed this?

All drop in liners do that. This is why they suck.

I have a Reflex spray in liner. It was applied on a 1/4 inch thick and is very durable. Color has not faded in the summer heat and sun. I reccomend this liner to anyone.

Same exact thing happened to me. Line-X installed for Christmas. Looks great. Line-X rep told me that rust was taken care of, will never have to worry again. Drop in liners suck--guess that's why we get them for free.

Hmmm....I guess all that stuff LineX says about drop in liners isn't a marketing ploy after all.......
