5.4 3v swap into 96 mustang gt

maybe right now it will. but not forever. besides i drive in a straight line.
it's a simple matter of hp. when i add boost and proper components, a GT can make no more hp than any other 5.4 3v or 4v. reallt the GT is a great car, but it ain't really all that fast in a straight line. and well built drag car can beat it. one of the members of my car club has a 67 mustang gt 390 with a 427 stroker 351w with dart heads, victor nascar intake, big cams, long tubes, etc. a "mild" combo. he makes a documented 550 hp. he runs in the 10.1 to 9.9 range. the point isn't "i know someone that is faster than you" thing, but rather anyone with the budget can outspend the next guy. the GT isn't really set up to lift the front end for that. for 120k don't people think anyone can beat the GT? what about a full framed nascar blocked arca car? i bet any arca car will put a gt in the dirt. or what about an fr500 ? i used extremism examples to make the point.
i love the GT. i argue for it all the time. but i can certainly build a faster car for much less. all i am after is 400/400 NA right now. that is enough. anyone with one of these 3v's can get that out of it with a few parts and ported heads.

here is a link to an automatic dynoed in australia. it is a ba falcon boss 260. 5.4 3v dyno
they had it from 03 on.
