Automatic Transmission Fluid Leak

Went to have my oil changed yesterday and the serviceman pointed out that my automatics transmission fluid was barely registering on the stick. I verified what he said when I got back home. Had to put 1/2 quart to get it back in the normal hot zone. Anyone had this problem and what was the fix?

Do you visibly see a leak? Just because it is low doesn't mean it's leaking, it could of just not been filled up to begin with, ford's quality control isn't always on top of things. However, mine had a leak at around 3000 miles. It was the seal on the front pump. It was leaking out of the torque converter housing vent.

No visible leaks anywhere. Level comes up to the first dot on the stick.
