I hear some are installing it. What exactly is it? Does it do any good? Are those that have one happy?

Thanks

You guys are SOOOO far off..

Flowmaster is the leading 1D thermo fluid flow software package, designed for the engineers desktop PC. It helps engineers to design complex fluid systems and understand how mechanical events, such as valves shutting quickly and pump trip, affect the fluid dynamics of the whole system.

F.Y.I.

I had a Flowmaster (40 series) installed on my F-150, on the outside it sounds good, BUT, in my opinion its too loud on the inside, has a loud "drone" sound, when i get my truck back, its the last thing on my list of things to do....take it off and put something more "mello" on it.

Anaheim - Flowmaster 50 series is maybe what you wanted instead. Not quite as cool sounding outside, but much more tolerable inside on the highway. I had a 50 series in my `99 Expedition and it was just about right.

My shop told me they could put in a resonator upstream of the muffler if I decided it was too loud, for only $50. A friend has a `99 Expedition with a 40 series that his wife objected to driving. He put the resonator in, and no objections now.

IIRC, there's a 50 series SUV muffler that is bigger and cuts the interior noise slightly more than the regular 50 series.
