One of my amps is in that space. Look at the pictures.
I don't have a tool box anywhere and did not want it rolling around in my bed. It's up high in the engine area. It's not going to get so bad as to not be able to use it. There's many cars on the road that the stock jack is located under the hood also. If it gets to rusty or dirty to use years down the road, I'll just buy another one. They are not that much. I'll have a new truck by than. I guess my point is that I'm not worried about it.
