Motorcraft Online Manuals

I read about the Motorcraft online manuals here.

I love having that type of access, but $250 for a year membership is ridiculous.

Does anybody know if you could buy the short term membership and essentially download all the information?

I'd pay $12.95, but no way I'm shelling out $250.

My feelings also. Still, I wish I had at least a good factory shop manual(s) for this truck.

Does Ford print and sell paper shop manuals to the public?

Shop manuals are available but the cost may
be more than $250.00.I think the owners manual
tell where to purchase it. Helm i think is the company.

I see $99.95 for a year - single vehicle/single model year

The CD from Helm is $170, but I am not sure what is on it. I suspect all the manuals.

I had a 2002 CD from them but did not like the application that displayed the manual. I hope they are PDFs now like the website.

You can download the manual from MC.com, it is about 500 files, so it is about 2 evenings work.

They need to be put together so that you can search though them. The wiring diagrams can be downloaded also, but I do not know how to organize them. You can get a 30 day "evaluation" copy of the adobe acrobat to put them together from adobe.com.

Get the month, 3 days was not enough time to look at all of it.

If the HELM.com CDs are PDFs, I think they are worth buying.

All I saw listed under the single vehicle/single model year was a 1993 Cougar James. I had to go under single vehicle/multiple years for everything else (including the F150).

Are you seeing something I might have missed?

Go to morotcraft.com

Click on...

Technical Resources > Purchase Subscriptions > Single Vehicle / Single Model Year

Then select 2004 / New F150 / Year

I see $99.95 at this point or 16.95 for a month.

Is it safe to assume that Motorcraft keeps their online manuals updated with changes and corrections?

If so, this would be a major benefit, IMO, to getting manuals online.

I purchased the one month subscription for 16.95 then downloaded all the information I thought I would need. You have to go to the printable view which will put you into an Adobe PDF window. Then you can save this PDF to your computer. My Subscription runs out the end of the month. I figured I would download whatever I needed then not renew it.

Hope this helps
