Well, the dealership calls me today and tells me that it seems the truck I ordered is going to take a while due to the tires and being a two tone truck(FX4 true blue and dark shadow with LT tires). The guy that called is the one that does all of the ordering and seemed to want me to cancel my order or to make sure I was willing to wait. Didnīt really make much sense to me as to why he was calling. I tell him that I already knew it was going to take a while but it would seem to me that after a month of being ordered(Dora with date of 9-10 on it) that I should at least have a vin number and that I was growing concerned over the lack of it being changed from an unscheduled status. Then the guy calls me back a couple of hours later and tells me that the regional woman is going to make it a priority and push it through and that I should have a vin by Tuesday of next week. 1. What could have happened to cause this sudden interest in my truck? and 2. Do you think they changed the priority on it to a 1 as you mentioned happening in your post XCR and regardless of that, how long do you think it will take to be built now...longer than a month?

Hmmm interesting that yours went straight through it seems. Wonder why mine was never picked for production.

 

The question is do you have a VIN -- your dealer may have sat on it a week or two and added to the delay -- once you have your VIN in hand you can see when they ordered it for you.

 

If they bump you to priority 01 you should have a VIN on Friday and a build date on Saturday. Sometimes orders just don't get scheudled due to the luck of the draw on scheduling order (comodities run out before any of that dealers units schedule), but the region should go back through and prioritize to catch up old retails (thats probably why yours got bumped up).
