in 1990 they didnt make a f150 with a 4.6 The airbag is designed to go off facing out. I dont see haw it could be a hazard from misalignment. unless you somehow managed to mount it facing sideways.

Rotational direction has no significant change. You think the engineers assume your wheels are always pointed straight forward when you get impacted?

Shane, you have 7 threads out of 25 displayed on my monitor.
See what you can do to combine your questions to reduce the number of threads.
Review your writing and make word and sentence completion corrections before submitting.
To help, enable spell check on your computer.
That will underline misspelled words. Right click on the word and a drop box will appear with the possible words you trying to spell. You recognize the correct word then click on it and it replaces the word, but can mistake the 'correct word' at times, so pay attention to that.
Then use the preview button and take a second read before you submit a reply.
Shane, it's very telling what you do and don't do.

There are two air bags, one in the steering wheel and one behind the large oval in the dash above the Glove box door.
.
They fire directly to the rear unless deflected by what is in the seat.
.
It is usually illegal to disconnect the bags especially for Insurance claims after an accident should they not deploy and cause driver/passenger injury that might have been prevented or reduced.
Same with seat belts.
.
Both normally cause an audio and visual alarm when not in service.
.
Normally your state inspection demands these items are in working condition.
Get your vehicle up to safe operating standards and these items won't be an issue at anytime, inspection or not.
.
Good luck.
