About to order a new stereo for my 97, help!

Hi folks, I have an old 97 lariat F150 4.6l that I want to add bluetooth to. I finally managed to pull the factory deck and it looks like there is a metal bracket blocking half of the internal volume!

My goal was to order a double din pioneer deck, these parts specifically:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009JSDYC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_4&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009JSDYC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_4&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MRYHOQU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_7&smid=ADTIEFXMUOV0B http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MRYHOQU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_7&smid=ADTIEFXMUOV0B

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002BEWZQ/ref=ox_sc_imb_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002BEWZQ/ref=ox_sc_imb_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

First of all did I even manage to get the proper wiring harness/bracket? And second, the metal bracket looks like it will block installation of the pioneer deck, is there a way to remove it or should I just go with a single din deck (don't mind, the double din just looked to fit better)?

If anyone can post amazon links to equipment that will actually work I would appreciate it!!!

Thanks!

Go to crutchfield.com to do your research for what will fit and what you will need.

I believe that's only a din and a half hole - you will probably need a single din with a filler plate.

You can fit a double din, but you'll need to cut out the bracket as well as trim some of the upper plastic. It's been done a lot of times, but it isn't a direct swap like a single din would be.

Hack it up. It's easy and you won't see it when the new head unit is installed. Do not use a torch.

looks like thar bracket is bolted in, just remove it. And do a google search there is a couple of good write ups on one of the f150 forums in the 97-03 section.
