Lets see... 2 doors, ignition, tailgate, 2 transponder keys, towing to a dealership - unless you can find a locksmith with PATS equipment - and the dealership charge. I'm going to say $600.

Here's what my cheap A$$ would do. Get a PCM from a Super Duty - if you have the 5.4, then get keys and cylinders from a wrecked F150. Super Duty trucks don't have PATS

EDIT: Just read one of your other posts where you state you have a V6. You're screwed. I think your tires are now worth more than your truck.

That was likely true before the keys were lost...

If you don't want to rekey all the cylinders, a Ford dealer can make you a new key from the VIN number for about $100.

Cool. That wasn't the case when I worked at the Ford dealership in the mid 90's.

The 2001 has the PATS system, your keys are chipped.

It has to be programmed. This is why you need to see the dealer no matter what. Without an existing key, there's no locksmith in the world who can do it.

Sure they can, IF they have the right equipment.

I would search high and low for those keys, unless you tossed them into the water or something. Now you could get ONE chipped key and stash it under the steering column so the PATS gets the signal and just have Wal-Mart or the like cut a couple copies of regular keys so you can open the door and release the ignition lock and start the truck.
