I've had four Ford's with 5x135 patterns (2 Expy's and 2 F150's) and I am just so sick and tired of not being able to find a wheel I liked in the dumb IMHO 5x135mm pattern.....so I decided to change that.

Found the wheels I wanted in 5x5. Being a machinist I made up a program for my 3 axis CNC milling machine and drilled the hub assemblies and axles to 5x5. Pressed studs out of the 5x135 and back into the 5x5 and Viola, wheels nobody has on tghe 1997-2003 platform. And they run smooth as ever.

I also have some 9.75 big bearing axles already drilled for the 5x5 pattern sitting here if anyone is interested. (Turns out my 2002 has a 1998 rear end so I picked the wrong axles...whoops) anyways for 160 shipped ill send them to you. I also have used timken hub assemblies I can drill for you as well. PM me.

Here's the specs: 17x9 Pro Comp 7036 5x5 with 4.75 backspace mounted with 285/75 Toyo Open Country MT's ~34 x 11.5

Awesome Mod! pretty jealous. Did you just redrill the front rotors?

 

Sorry forgot to add that in...yea the front and rear brake rotors went into the machine as well. So the front hub assemblies, rear axle shafts, and the rotors both front and rear were re-drilled for the 5x5 pattern. Everything was bolted back up and fits perfect.

I still have to crank the torsion bars and do the AAL to the rear.
