Smile Spindle Lift for 2wd screw

Was piecing together some options for more height on my 2wd 01 screw. Dont want to go body lift just want a little more clearancewithout breaking the bank. You guys have any knowledge on the 3.5 inch lift spindles? And what else needs to be replaced to complete the install. already have a 2 inch coil spacer.

The spindles don't change any geometry so nothing else needs to be replaced with them.

Ive heard places that the control arms and shocks may need to be changed due to the added height. you dont think so?

nope. the spindle keeps the factory angles only difference is the actual spindle is dropped down lower giving you your lift

Lot's of people use them. But it's jut easier for people to put in a coil spacer when they want a small amount of lift opposed to the install of spindles. You only need new shocks and control arms with coil spacers or lift coils over 2".

sets your front tires apart farther than the rear ones but its not that noticeable. Other than that no real disadvantages that I know of.

Yea it'll push you over 1.5" per side up front like he said^. Not sure if that's a con though.

it does give you mucho clearance though. my last truck had a 3.5", 1.5" spacer with 265 tires and i measured 16" from ground to crossmember. im sure if i had the right size tire 305) it would have been more

Spindle lift should be an easy install and you won't need shocks or control arm and it should ride pretty close to factory. From that description, it sounds like an easy decision, but the only con is one that would make me never buy them - they make your front tires stick out further than the rear. Maybe a set of rear wheel spacers would fix this problem, but I've heard bad things about them. With different front/rear track widths, I think it makes the truck look much cheaper and like a lift was just thrown on as an afterthought.

Like everyone else has said, none of those need to be changed. Keep in mind though, if your truck is getting some miles on it, it would be a good idea to go ahead and replace some of the factory parts. They've probably far exceeded their life.

I've ran Procomp shocks and currently have them on my Jeep. I'd steer away from them unless you can't afford a better shock. Mine have been very stiff every time I chose them. Only reason that's what's on my Jeep is I got the set for $50 with 100 miles on them.

Ill probably switch out the shocks while im at it, my spacer is only 2 inch so no harm there by means of control arms. Thanks for the info.
