polishing the aluminum driveshaft on my 02

Well i have been going through the undercariage of my truck the last few days painting and removing scale rust and realized my aluminum drive shaft is ver notiiceable and looks like S*&t! I really want to polish it myself or possibly send it out to be done but wanted to know if any one had any suggestions on how to do this. Thanks Guys!

it'll take some time, but it will be well worth it in the long run

I'm about to polish the driveshaft on my green truck this summer

start with 180 grit dry

then 400 grit dry

400 grit wet

800 grit wet

1000 grit wet

1200 grit wet

2000 grit wet and then comes the polishing

jack your rear end up, put the truck in drive and just go up and down the driveshaft to polish it faster!

not serious
