F150 With 37"

I am currently running 35x12.50x17 tires on my f150 Screw. That is with the
5” RCX lift. I am thinking on putting a 3” body lift on my truck and running
37x13.50x17 with a 4.88 gear. I am just wondering about the problems I will
have with this setup. I don’t ever play in the mud with the truck. I know there
are others with this setup. So what problems have you ran into with the bigger tires.

I'm fixing to be running 37s too a friend has them on his truck the only problem he has is he has to take a running strt to get into his truck, hahaha, I think one problem would be road roar

I am not to worried about the height of the truck. I will fab up some custom nurf bars for that. My main concern is brakes, and the stock 8.8 ifs. Also concerned about the ride, and towing. In the summer I am always pulling a boat to the lake, and a camper to the park. The camper is a only a 25’ TT that weighs about 5,200 LBS loaded, and I don’t know the weight of the boat but it is not as heavy as the camper and don’t have near the wind resistance. It is only a 18’-19’ chaparral. Does anyone have 37 with 4.88 gears that they tow with.

my friend tows a35' boat in the summer with his and has no problems, but he has 20" wheels with a big break kit up front and bigger break drums on the rear, he has 4.88 gears, never heard him having problems

look up fx4life. hes got some threads he started about his setup with 37's and issues he has had to deal with.

RAM AIR does some towing on his 37'd iirc. I asked him about it, says it does fine for his needs. But your TT may be a bit more then you would like to drag behind it.

Im on 38s. The biggest issue im having right now is a strange vibration/wobble/shake/shimmy at interstate speeds. Everything has been replaced in the front end. Im going to try and have the tires rebalanced sometime next week. If not ill live. Its more of an annoyance hearing my change jar rattle more then anything.

I have 35's and tow a 21 Toyhauler. I get 4 MPG! I'd reconsider if towing.

what gears/ motor do you have with the 35"? i have stock gears (3.55) with 35's and do better than that with my 25' TT. but i dont live in the mountains, mostly flat ground
