Removed remote start

Been having trouble with my truck not starting... Fuel pump wouldn't turn on. But then sometimes it would. The ppl I bought it from had a remote start installed. I just removed it, it was blowing my fuel pump fuse. It was starting fine, it would light up my odometer and other dash lights when it wouldn't crank... Now it has killed my battery in a matter of the time it took me to put the dash back together and my battery saver relay started going crazy, door locks jumping dome light flashing with every click on the relay... The only wires I cut were the ones spliced into the remote... So what went wrong? Why would it drain my battery that quick and make that relay go crazy

What are you working on? We can't see it through the Internet.

Sorry...03' f150 w/5.4 automatic. Put cables on it and it finally started up... The theft light on the dash was super dim and flickering... Took it awhile to start and haven't shut it off yet lol the truck has been doing this and similar stuff since they put that remote start on it, the odometer will light up, the fuel gauge and volts come up, the abs light etc all light up, this is without the key in it... All I did was cut the aftermarket remote start out and within minutes it killed the battery and made that power saver relay goes crazy along with door locks and dome light

Did you literally use snips and cut the wiring with the battery connected?

Yes and it started 3 times. Then I put the dash back together. In that time it completely killed the battery. Finally had a friend come over put jumpers on it and it took awhile but started up. A few dash lights would stay on super dim (airbag, battery) so when I finally shut it off I disconnected the battery for the night. Next morning theft light was blinking real fast, cycled the key three times and it's been starting fine with nothing staying on. I believe the remote was wired in with the PATS for security I'm assuming...I didn't disconnect the battery last night so let's see what it does this morning

Next morning it tried not to crank, theft light was going crazy, cycled the key three times and it's been running pretty good, cranking like it's supposed to... Then last night I hear a sizzling noise from under the dash, radio stayed on, dinger wouldn't shut off... Looked under the dash and smoke was coming out of the fuse panel. Ugh took the battery loose and found water dripping from the panel... Now how the heck did water get in there? Lord my luck

You have a windshield leak. Common on this generation. The GEM module is on the backside of the fuse box.
