I'll see what my Haynes manual says and post the pics if they have any. Do you have manual or power windows? If manual I assume you can't figure out how to get the window crank handle off.

  • Pull off the plastic trim running up behind the window to expose a screw holding the top of the door panel
  • Remove cover from around door handle to expose a screw holding the door panel at this location
  • Slide cover over on window crank to expose torx screw holding handle on
  • Lift door panel to remove

I was just getting ready to click post reply, when I saw the above post

Some pics from when I replaced my mirrors ...

Pull off the plastic trim running up behind the window to expose a screw holding the top of the door panel

Remove cover from around door handle ...

... to expose a screw holding the door panel at this location
Slide cover over on window crank to expose torx screw holding handle on

Lift door panel to remove

It can be a little tricky getting the lock tab lined up w/ the slot in the door panel when putting it all back together, but other than that, it's pretty basic.

well i got um on today it was actually quite simple once i fugured out what i was doing but realized on thw window crank i didnt have a torx screwdriver cause we just moved, i went to wal-mart and got a bit set and had to rig it on an wrench cause the hole was so small. Took a while for that but it was easy after that, second door i was finished in like 15 min. I got the chrome was btw.

Need this at the top where I can find it on the forum--I followed a link to this thread. Couldn't have been better timing. I have to change out my LH auto power window switch.
