im just tryin to ignore the haters lol
just lookin for help is all. I thought thats what this site was about is help instead of bash but guess i was wrong in some cases...

Whats the best spark plug? should i stay oem or upgrade??

There is really not much reason to use anything but the OEM(Motorcraft).

Just FYI...just put some Motorcraft plugs in the truck yesterday, and I can totally tell the difference. Runs smoother, better response, and better gas mileage. Best plugs IMO.

called ford and got quoted $350 for spark plug change and 200 for O2 sensor change.

I will deff be doing these my self so hopefully one of yals previous how to posts help out. shouldnt be too hard.

Looks like your dealer charges full retail for parts, and charges about $100 an hour for labor, and hits you full book time too.

Dealer up here menu prices plug changes - I think yours would be $160 or so if I remember correctly.

Don't bother with the rear O2's, by the way - only need to do the fronts.

i wouldnt even pay 160...

and well i wouldnt have anyways cuz i didnt even know they were 02 sensors in the back

Gotta love that you learn somethin new everyday...

Hey BIgT - I just changed plugs for the first time on a 2000 with a 5.4 last weekend. If you follow those instructions on page one - it's really pretty simple. Just Make sure you have multiple ratchet extensions and a universal joint for it and you'll be fine. Good luck!

i went to change them but the plugs were almost brand new so i left them in there.
