Busted 4 Wheel Drive Actuator

Well I finally got a shop to put on my Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer and I loved it for bout two days. Then first time right hand turn all the way on full lock the bracket for the stabilizer grabbed and busted my actuator cover. Shop said it worked fine with the truck in the air but I found out not so much with weight on the suspension. So now I've taken it apart and cut the metal that I need for clearance but was wondering if its alright to drive my truck with the actuator cover busted or should it be replaced before driving it?

It's okay, but what happens there is corrosion from road grime and salts. That cover shields that. You'll have to service your actuator once in awhile, it will stop working on yuh eventually if you don't.
