Front End Whining Noise

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem, and if so, what was the cause...

My '01 SuperCrew 4wd drives normally and doesn't emit any strange noise while driving normally. However, when I hit a bump, such as a speed bump, dip, etc., a loud whine starts to come from the front end. I know it's nothing in the suspension because when the sound starts, I can put the truck in park and still hear it by revving the engine.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had this, mostly heard from 1600-2100 rpm's, hot/cold didn't matter. I thaught it was a vacuum leak, PCV, belt, idler pulley, you name it and I tried. I'm pretty sure it was my a/c compressor/clutch assembly. It did all but go away before that was replaced. I stopped caring after a while but am pretty sure that fixed that.
