Line-X issues
I made a post a couple of months ago regarding some issues I had with my Line-X bedliner that was installed late 04. After one pass with a shovel, i ripped the bedliner and I noticed that it had been spayed on very thin...didnt even measure a 1/16" with digital calipers..it measured almost 50 mils. I called corproate office and they said that it should be sprayed on 1/4" on bed and 1/8" on sides and that if it was sprayed on that thin to begin with, that the dealer would need to rip out old liner and spray on a new one.
Well, I finally made it to my dealer to get it repaired. The guy at the shop insisted that they wouldnt spray on 1/4" thick stating that it wouldnt dry properly and would casue problems. He also insisted that spraying ontop of existing bedliner wouldnt cause any problems...and that it would give me the desired thickness.
I was skeptical and since corporate offices arent open on Saturday mornings, I couldnt call them and have them confirm anything this guy was trying to pull over on me.
I know some of you are dealers for Line-x, my question to you is, is this OK what my dealer did? Will it hold up? Or does spraying ontop of existing liner jeopardize the integrity of the product?
