No, the less backspacing you have the more the tire/wheel will stick out. A identical width wheel with 4 5/8 inches of backspacing will stick out less than one with 4 1/2 inches.

 

thanks wandell, what is your recommendation of a wheel and tire combo that would give the qwide look im going for? do you think 325/60r18 grappler on eagle 102 18x9.5 with 4 5/8 backspacing would do it? thanks

 

Eagle Alloy makes a 17x12 inch wide wheel (model 064) for your truck with 3.625 inches of backspacing. You could use it with a 325/70-17 (34x13.00) Nitto Terra Grappler. That should give you the look you want, with the tires sticking out of the wheelwells. The question is how much lift you will need because to the wide wheel. A 6 inch lift may clear it. thanks alot wandell, im getting so frustrated , because im trying to find a 18x10 tire that looks like the eagle wheel you have that has 4.5 backspacing and doesnt cost a million dollars.. like there is a wheel that looks just like that and is 18x10 the weld racing stonecrusher.. but its like $400 per rim...cant be doing that

anyone see any wheels im missing
