Is it stick or auto? The autos should be about 250, but I've heard the 6spd was 275. This is at the flywheel so rwhp will be much less. The torque is 525lb/ft.

I believe it's in the neighborhood of 205 to 215 at the wheels.

I'm currently looking at purchasing a '99 7.3L PSD with the 5-speed. Is the hp/tq the same for all the 7.3L's, or were they increased in the later model years?

It was increased in later years, but it wasn't all that much (235 vs 250). I wouldn't pass up a good one trying to hold out for that reason. Are you sure its a 5spd trans in that truck? Some of the VERY VERY early 99 trucks could get a 5spd, but it was dropped quickly and the ZF6 replaced the ZF5. If it is indeed a 5spd I would pass on it for that reason, as some had problems.

Does it also have 525 ft-lbs? I am positive it's a 5-speed. It's a very nice ride. 102k miles, fully loaded SuperCrew Super Duty. What were the issues with the 5-speed? If any issues did occur, is a swap possible between the 5 and the 6? Thanks-

No, its not 525 lb/ft, it will be lower than that (490ish I believe). The 5spd didn't like to stand up to the higher torque ratings of the newer engines. A swap is possible, but if you are going for performance it would be worth your while to find late 99-00 truck. If it does have a 5spd that means its a VERY VERY VERY early 99 and will have a different turbo, smaller hpop (high pressure oil pump), smaller injectors, smaller intercooler, and a few different parts on the front suspension. Myself if it was a 5spd I would pass on the deal unless you can pick up the truck for a song and dance.

First, sorry about the thread hijack...

but -

I'm pretty sure it's a '99.5, not an early '99. The badge is on the door, not the fender.
