oil filter change/2004 F-150 FX4

What's the kind of filter wrench ford mechanics are using for oil filter change. Seems to be a little hard to get my hand up to the filter, and too tight for regular filter wrenches.? Thanks for any help.

I do not have a problem with a oil filter wrench that has a metal band that self tightens, basicly your standard oil filter wrench...test one out at a parts store on a oil filter for your truck, they do come in different sizes.

Large chanel lock pliers work good most of the time.

When I change my filter I put a little silicone lube on the filter seal and put it on by hand. 4,000 miles later it comes off by hand. my filter is on the block and hard to access.

Then I suppose driving a large flat head screwdriver through the center of the oil filter isn't consider the "right tool" either?
