I am thinking about replacing my 4.2L in my 1997 F150 with a 302. Will the 4.2 L manual transmission bolt up to a 5.0 engine.

 

not sure if our tranny would bolt up, but it is a windsor pattern for the 302. I thought of doing this untill I fugured out it was going to be a tough project. Get a 5.4l and blow it(or turbo, and if you do this talk to CRASH)! It will be much easier.

Yes it will bolt right up, I stuck a 5-spd from a 4.2 into my 300 inline six.
