2004 F-150 Weight

Hey Guys,
Can anyone tell me what the Unladen weight of the 2004 F-150 Supercrew is? The reason that I need the unladen weight, is that I live in New York, and in order to register the truck with passenger plates, it must have an unladen weight of under 5500 lbs. If the truck is over 5500 lbs, I must register it as comm. truck.
Thanks,
Alex

Not sure of the weight of your truck but I have a 02 KR 4X4 supercrew and had no problem registering with passenger plates.

Not sure of the weight of the 04s, but I know they are heavier than the 03s and down.Im thinking they are about a 1,000 pounds heavier.. Its probably close to 5500 if its a 4x4 supercrew...

Im from Long Island and just bought '04 FX4 Supercrew and it has a passenger lic plate (non comerical lic plate).

I believe F150 2004 is approx 5350lbs and was told that 04 is approx 500 lbs heavy than 03 and under.

Guys,

I recently moved from NJ to CA and in order to have my truck registered, I had to get it weighed (CA charges you by the pound! and it's not a flat rate ...so many cents per pound, it's a tier system). My '03 SuperCrew weighed in at 5420 lbs! I had it weighed on electronic scales.
Anyway, the '04s look a lot beefier, I bet they are close to 6000 lbs, if not more. No way they're under 5500 lbs, for sure. My truck is mostly stock, and none of the mods I've made weigh anything significant.

Thumbs up

oh by the way, when you take your truck to the scales, make sure your tank is almost empty and leave the spare tire, jack, etc at home. even remove the ebd extender if you have one. all this will add up and you can easily shave off ~150 lbs. This is only if you're very close to the passnger/commercial cutoff.

My 04 Screw FX4 scales in at 5,850 lbs with a rubber bed mat, tonneau and mud flaps, oh and full of gas. With out the extras it would be about 5,750 lbs. Options include audiophile pkg, heated mirrors, towing pkg, 18" wheels and LT tires, bright running boards, captains chairs w/ floor shift.
If you have a two wheel drive you'll be under the 5500 lbs....a bare 4x4 XLT might come close.

Open the door and look at the sticker on the door frame. It has the weight of the truck listed right there. Don't spend the money on the scale.

Ummm...No

The weight you see on the sticker is the gross weight or the maximum it is allowed to weigh fully loaded. To find out the "tare" or unladen weight you must take it to a scale.

unladen curb weight is available from Ford. I'm pretty sure this info is in the 04 brochures (which your dealer probably still has a couple lying around).
