sensor on lower intake manifold

Question sensor on lower intake manifold

i am rebuilding a 1986 f-150 w/ a 302 efi i hjave seem to run in to a problem there are 2 sensors on the lower intake on the drivers side1 is a intake air temp sensor and the other i have no idea and nither do the parts store.the intake temp is located next to the 2nd injector and the other sensor is located between the 3rd and 4th injector could someone please help me, the plug that goes to it has 2 ***** to slip in

You might disconnect it and see what happens to your engine coolant temperature guage on the dash. If it does not affect your dash temperature guage then maybe its a engine knock sensor.

Remember to reconnect the harness back up when your done.

well larry thanks for the info i had my wife take what was left of the sensor to a mechanic and he told her it was a knock sensor like u said.i guess u got to trust the older guys lol thanks again

Thanks for the feedback Tex. Did the sensor get that way because it was a bitch to get the harness off it?
