Pete, I spoke with a tech at the track, I need to check NMRA rules (because it is their event), but Bradenton has all the basic race rules, plus - if you run a 11.49 or faster you need a five point harness belt, if you run under 10.99 you need a roll cage.

I won't need to worry about these, but if you bring your insane beast out you will need a 5-point for sure, and only you know about the role cage!

I will be ordering my slicks from Tom next week, question - do slicks improve in traction after a couple runs or are they just as good right out of the box?

D-Day

It has been said that a good burnout and a cooling cycle makes for best traction. I have found with the Hoosier slicks is if you do a good burnout the first pass they will do well.

Thanks Dan, my cage should be installed in time for that. The Hoosiers work great. Just give them a good old fashioned burnout out of the box.

Come on down Mat. The event will be small, compared to most. It will be a good show, and probably a historical one at that.
