aftermarket B&M shift kit

JC Whitney offers: 81ZX6395P $39.99
SHIFT PLUS ELECTRONIC SHIFT IMPROVER by B@M
Simply connect two wires for better shifting
Lets you electronically change settings as your drive
For '93-98 Chevy/GMC and Ford pickups and SUVs
Recalibrates electronic automatic transmission's hydraulic system. The extra shift firmness makes driving more comfortable and the slippage/heat reduction makes your transmission last longer. Easy to install in minutes.no need to remove automatic transmission pan or valve body. With flip of switch, choose any of 3 shift modes: original factory, firmness level one, firmness level two. Great for performance driving and towing. Complete. nothing else to buy. Instructions included.

I've driven several 1997 F150's and they all shifted painfully slow under full throttle.
Anybody tried this kit? or have any other experiences with fixing this?

I had this kit on a 97 F150 4.6. I was very happy with the results up until the EPC solenoid fried, but I had 132000 miles on it at the time. I had installed the kit at about 5000 miles, so perhaps I'd gotten my money's worth.

thanks

Ordered it yesterday...can't wait. Almost too good to be true...$40.00 for a shift kit and you don't even have to drop the pan? I'm there! Thanks!

I don't know about those, but the Ford dealer tranny expert says go with transgo for shift kits, says the B&M eats up 4R70W trannies.

I'm going to drill my valve body and change some accumulator springs around.
