Don't know the tongue weight but I know my 1998 expedtion has trouble with my trailers(back end squats). I would say that 98% of the time I have one of my trailers hitched to my pickup. most loads I carry scale out at around 10,000 pounds GVW(pickup,trailer,load conbined) . soil, gravel, concreate are the heavy loads that scale out over 10,000 lbs GVW My truck does have 3300 lb spring helpers and electric brakes.
