Transmission Temp Gauge Wiring
Ok - I need a little help with installing my B&M Transmission temperature gauge kit. I know, from my research, the installed location of the sending unit but I am not sure of where to get power for the gauge or the dimmer circuit.
I have a 2000 Ford Expedition w/ 5.4L, 4R100 Transmission.
Sorry if this was answered before, but I could not find any info when I did a search. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Jeff -
I ran a wire from an unused relay socket in the underhood fuse/relay box for my +12V. Just use a meter, turn the key "On" and probe until you get +12V. Turn the key "Off" and verify power is off. Use a male spade lug to slip into the relay base socket and you are set.
As far as the +12V for the lighting, I tied into the lamp that is in the ashtray. The harness is easy to get to and it is already controlled by the dimmer circuit.
