When im ordering my rims, the lug pattern for the 2000 f150 reg cab step side is 5 by 4.5 correct? Also what size lugs do these trucks have?

Wrong. Ford changed the pattern in '97 to 5 x 135mm. They did this to complicate our lives and to confuse us and to make us carry an additional spare for our trailers rather than being able to use the truck spare in an emergency. It also makes all the used aftermarket wheels in the world useless.

I'd really like to hurt the s**t-for-brains responsible for that extremely well thought out "minor" change.

Another pet peeve is that the threads on the lugs are some wierd size, and most auto parts stores don't stock wheel locks that fit. Thanks, Ford!

Cool

Hi brew 1891- I also think I would like the look of the Cobra R wheels on my truck and have just started research to see if they would fit with wheel adapters. I am running a Cobra theme on my truck and I really like the Cobra Rs. I will be calling the tire rack to see if they no anything tomorrow. If I find out anything positive I will post it here for you. Take Care!

the only way you could get cobra r wheels on your F150 is with an adapter of some sort. The trucks are designed for a concentric hub for wheel centering, the cobra r uses the lug nuts for centering.

brew 1891 & 98 sleeper- I talked to the Tire Rack today and asked them about putting the Cobra R's on the Truck with adapters and they said it was a bad idea. The Cobra R's are not designed to carry around 42 to 4600 lbs of truck and they would not consider mounting them on a truck. So, I guess I will give up on the R's but I think they would have looked real good.

2008 F-150 bolt pattern change

I have a 2008 F-150 Harley that I want to put 2002 H-D wheels on. Does anyone know where to go to find out what has to happen to change out the 2008 6 stud pattern to the 2002 5 stud pattern?
