2015 F-150’s Seamless Rear Sliding Glass
The 2015 Ford F-150 continues to originate and innovate with new features and technology. One of those new features is probably something you didn’t think about until Ford created it; the seamless rear sliding glass.
It’s a unique feature for the new F-150 and certainly helps it stand out from the normal truck crowd.
While you do see that a sliding rear window is there, the new sliding rear glass is less pronounced and there are no bars to really take away from the solid looking piece of rear glass.
It also helps the 2015 F-150 reduce its weight thanks to a lighter window control module. “We designed the seamless sliding rear window to deliver not only a new look and improved functionality, but also to start a trend in the truck sliding window market,” said Troy Tooker, design engineering manager for Magna International.
“With pickup sliders being one of our core products, we wanted to show our leadership and raise the bar on the new F-150.”
