The NHTSA is looking into five steering gear box complaints on 2008 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty Trucks. Several complaints allege that steering box failures caused crashes at speeds ranging from 20mph to 35mph. According to the Detroit News, one “driver said he believed the 2008 F-350 steering and suspension was too light for a heavy load.” This could impact as many as 340,000 trucks currently on the road. Ford is fully cooperating with the NHTSA.
