Ken Block and Ford Racing build a Raptor with Trax!
Just in time for the Winter X-Games, Ken Block and Ford Racing build the ultimate Raptor for crossing snow, the RaptorTrax. Ken’s dubbed it the “world’s fastest snowcat” and does so thanks to the Whipple motivated 6.2L V8 and four “go-anywhere” Mattrax. The RaptorTrax features a full roll cage, meaning safety didn’t take a back seat; but it could do so comfortably in the Recaros that were installed.
Other features include snowboard racks, a roof basket, interior storage for food and drinks, an exterior stereo, and rear wench for the very rare case he gets the RaptorTrax stuck. He can also enjoy all day and well into the night thanks to the Rigid Industries LED lights.
“It’s an absolute beast of a machine and I’m stoked with how it’s turned out,” says Block, “Next up is for me to take it deep into the backcountry ASAP to help me and some friends slay some powder on our snowboards for a video project due out later this year.” You can be sure a wild video is coming, but you can check out the RaptorTrax in Aspen, Colorado later this week with Monster Energy at the X-Games!
